Another Project Almost Done: Where to Move All of Our Possessions

TO TEXAS!
(Seriously, it will truly have to be a miracle).
After 2+ years in SE
Asia (steamy & hot) storage, a decision made about where to send a shipping
container of our earthly possessions.
We have timed a TX arrival near the time of our eldest son's return to his base in US. I'll let you know if we get that miracle, or if I
have to buy a hazmat suit to sort through it all!

Explaining the idea of "when helping hurts" through humor
For a
laugh (and some thought provoking) on the topic of missions
Our
supervisor with CRM a veteran missionary in Japan is visiting us this weekend.
Last night he showed us a hilarious (and insightful) video on "When helping can hurt” on Viking
Missionaries to America.

FINISHED Shopping for a home in Chattanooga.
Shopping for real estate and dreaming of living in the south east. This property with two homes on the top of Signal Mountain was delightful.
But we realized today that we've got to stay in Los Angeles area for the sake of our parents and the long time supportive friends they have in Orange County. The window for making a move with them, living together in a bigger home as care needs become greate has closed. They just would be too isolated without friends in the area.
However...

#Finish2017 week one: Made a BIG
decision.
After 4 years of
searching & dreaming about having a larger home where my folks could live
with us, we've decided to stay put in our condo in LA. We're not gonna get that
dream home yet, but we'll be an hour from their lives & longtime circles of
friends. We've got sweet friends here too, so that's a great consolation!
