If "every Christian is a missionary," what do we call those who are MISSIONARIES?

Facebook asks me "What's on your mind." So here it is:

For my #FINISH2017 goal I am trying to finish something every week.

I can celebrate the finish of the 8th week of the year with the culmination of an inspiring #GlobalOutreach #missions weekend at #rollinghillscovenantchurch where quite a few missionaries are attending. We got a special lanyard with our name on it to identify who we are. We got to stand up and be acknowledged. We had a special luncheon. We got tables to see if anyone wanted to stop and talk with us. I think we need to offer them more exposure and promotion through the rest of the year and give them an opportunity to speak when they visit us for this conference. I'll work on promoting that for next year...

I will never never NEVER "finish" encouraging and cheering for the brave people who obeyed the Great Commission and serve Jesus "to the ends of the earth."

No matter how many Christian speakers and writers minimize their unique sacrificial calling by saying: "EVERY Christian is a Missionary," these REAL missionaries have made great sacrifices to follow Jesus and obey his call....If "every Christian is a missionary," what do we call those who are MISSIONARIES?

So ALIVE @55!

For my birthday this week I saw the Pacific Ocean from a number of vantage points with people I love. White Point Beach, Founder's Park, Point Vicente Lighthouse, Terranea, Vincent Thomas Bridge, Malaga Cove, Friendship Park, Redondo & Hermosa Piers, Crystal Cove State Beach and Laguna Beach. Southern California is such a lovely lovely place in bad weather as well as good!

ecard message from dad. oh that everyone could have a sweet one like mine!

Well, I'll get a head start on telling you how special you are and how proud I am to call you my daughter.  From the days of standing and sleeping behind the rear seat of the VW to today, there has never been a day in 55 years that I would have said anything other than "God did create a special, unique, creative and beautiful person." I am glad He gave me the privilege of being a part of the process of growing a servant for His kingdom.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Experience God writing project for Vietnam

The Vietnamese version of the 9 fictional "Sacred Pathways" stories (told from a Vietnamese perspective) is finished tonight! It will be sent to the organizers of the Youth Leaders Conference. Feb 20-22 Bill MacPhee and James Creasman join 40 Youth Ministry Leaders. Anita Baxter Sayers is going to facilitate the session. On a roll with my #FINISH2017 resolution, I've also formatted a large print and booklet version of the original English. But I'm not counting it as FINISHED until I figure out how to get an ebook on Amazon!
